Amal Alqaydi
Amal completed her Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and is currently pursuing her Masters of Science from University of Alberta, Canada. She joined us in September, 2022 and is currently working as a MSc Student in our group.

My Research Interests are Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing.

Research Summary
​
The research will focus on optimizing process parameters for wire arc additively manufactured part for 2205 duplex stainless steel. The aims for this study are to print a highly dense 3D printed part and carry out material characterization, by tuning process parameters and design post planning strategies for WAAM. First, a porosity optimization study will be conducted. Second, tensile test will be performed to study material properties.
